Super Saiyans Their are four types of super saiyans. SSJ1, SSJ2, SSJ3, and SSJ4. Before Goku their was only one saiyan who became a super saiyan. He killed himself on a planet in his Ozaru form. In Dragonball Z/GT pretty much all the saiyans go super saiyan. The only way for a saiyan to turn SSJ is extreme Anger or Grief.
Super Saiyan 1(SSJ1)- In Super Saiyan one a saiyans hair turns gold and his eyes turn green. Also his speed and power level increase dramatically. Pretty much everyone reached super saiyan 1 in DBZ/GT.
Super Saiyan 2(SSJ2)- In Super Saiyan two a saiyans hair grows very long and his power level increases alot also. The only disatvantage in SSJ2 is that your Speed decreases.
Super Saiyan 3(SSJ3)- In Super Saiyan three a saiyans hair grows even longer. His power level increases and so does his speed.
Super Saiyan 4(SSJ4)- Super Saiyan four can only be reached in Ozaru form. So it increases your
Power level tremendously. The SSJ4 Ozaru will have gold fur instead of black.
